Manditory Changes
Date: 2017-10-22 04:27 pm (UTC)● Bird talons in place of feet, and talon-like claws instead of fingernails as well.
● Hair with a feathery texture.
● Hollow bones and increased lung capacity, allowing the character to fly more easily.
● Extremely sharp eyesight. Harpies can make out small details and movements on the ground even from great heights.
● Ability to predict weather patterns. Harpies will be able to accurately predict the weather up to a week in advance.
● Weakness to electricity. Being electrocuted or struck by lightning can kill a Harpy. Better get to lower ground during thunderstorms!
● A nesting instinct. Harpies feel safest when able to make a shelter in a high place.
● Hunger and hunting instinct. Harpies usually hunt by either directly attacking their prey or lifting them off the ground and dropping them from great heights. Hunting animals will satiate them for a short time, but the longer they go without hunting a human, the more they'll be compelled to do so until they start losing their self-control.
Other:
✔ Harpies have a 25% change of sensing when the fog will come when they get the weather sensing trait.
✔ The Harpy's extreme eyesight can be turned 'of' and 'off' with a nictitating membrane that could "de-enhance" the eyesight (aka causing it to be more blurry, making it more like a typical human's eyesight).
✔ Harpies can either have wings on their back or winged arms, that is left up to you.
Additional Changes
● Any psychological changes are welcome! Feel free to pull from real world myths, canon creatures of this variety, or any other source!
● A fog form. This is an exaggerated version of their monster form that appears only during the fog and is a chance to make your monster more "horrifying" during the fog.
● Feathers on any other part of the body.
● A bird-like tail.
● Longer arms for the ability to run fast on all fours.
● Any number of bird-like facial features, ranging from mild to fully avian.
● The ability to call up fierce, tornado-like winds.
● The ability to turn completely into a bird. In this form, the character will look like a normal bird and will be able to travel faster. However, they will also be more vulnerable.
● Short bursts of speed. The Harpy will be able to move extremely fast for about a mile, but will be extremely exhausted afterwards.
● A soothing singing voice that can charm humans, making them vulnerable to being lured.
● Feathers on the shoulders and elbows.

Mister_Inkwell on Plurk (ignore the feathers.)<- Cartoony but captures him pretty well
Normal form by UsagiSquared on Plurk <-This is a harpy form but I like the features and hair.
Canon details:
"Butters was an odd little duck. He wasn’t much taller than Murphy, and she probably had more muscle than he did. His shock of black hair resembled nothing so much as an explosion in a steel wool factory. He was all knees and elbows, especially in the surgical greens he was wearing, his face was lean and angular, his nose beaky, and his eyes were bright behind the prescription glasses."- White Knight
Curly, slightly "electrocuted looking" frizzy black hair. Or this.
Clothes: Scrubs, labcoat if at work, otherwise his fashion sense is sadly bland: buttondown shirt and slacks or t-shirt and jeans. No sweatervests or bowties. That's the one place he draws the line. Has worn lederhosen for Oktoberfest.
